Friday the 5th was basically just another normal school day, mainly consisting of christmas craft work and taking all the things off the class room walls. The afternoon was rather rushed, Jack had Bayleys Birthday Party to attend at 4pm, but I somehow had to organise to get Hayley picked up from Preschool. I wouldn't have been able to fit it all in but Mart ended up bringing Hayley home, I had bikes and helmets already loaded in the car and off we went.
Due to two sets of lights being out on Narellan Road we were stuck in traffic for AGES! I was cranky, hot and frustrated, a birthday party on a Friday afternoon was the last thing I needed. We got there about half hour late, but the kids ended up having fun so I guess thats all that matters really.

We have attended lots of Birthdays at the Campbelltown Bike & Safety Centre. We tried to have Jacks birthday party there but you need to book WAY in advance to have any luck in getting a spot. They have real working traffic lights, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings and a big play area for the littlies.
After the party I went and visited Mart and the boys down the local (pub) that is. I had the kids with me so everyone sat out in the beer garden so I could at least have a bit of adult conversation. Jason was down for the weekend so I wasn't expecting to see much of the husband that night, considering we don't see much of Jason I figured that a bit of boy time is ok. I had a couple drinks, Vodka and Redbull, not recommended if you are planning on having an early night, I was still bright-eyed at 1am, definately not a good thing when you know you have a big night coming up.
